Viva Fresh!

I grew up surrounded by agriculture, yet it took me until this year to recognize the possibilities within the fresh produce industry. It was a privilege to attend the Viva Fresh Expo on April 7 - 8, 2018, thanks to the Aggies for Fresh scholarship. DMA Solutions sponsored the Aggies for Fresh campaign that allowed nine Aggies to attend the expo this year. I’m very grateful to Dan’l and her team at DMA for the opportunity!

Not only was it fun, I learned how vibrant the industry really is. As a whole, the industry brings people the food that enhances their lives. The people within the industry are the true gems, though. As I’ve found in most agricultural settings, they were friendly, talkative, and so eager to share their story and their passion with me. I loved learning about the different companies and products and seeing the colorful booths bursting with fruits and veggies. This industry offers purposeful careers, which I am excited to explore further. I can’t thank the ladies at DMA enough for their preparation and guidance that weekend!
